Grassroots accessibility work begins with people who experience barriers, understand their communities, and know what needs to change.
ACT—the Accessibility Coalition for Transformation—is an informal collaboration network connecting people, knowledge, and opportunities that can strengthen grassroots accessibility work. We do not direct participants or speak for their organizations.

We help people:
- Share useful information and resources
- Connect people with relevant experience and expertise
- Support collaboration and practical accessibility action

Access advances through connection
One person may understand a barrier through lived experience. Another may know the applicable accessibility standard. Someone else may understand the public process, have experience organizing a community response, or know who needs to hear about it. ACT connects people whose knowledge and experience can strengthen one another’s work.
